US EPA Method 2/2C, 2A, 2B, 2D

Method 2/2C

Determination of Stack Gas Velocity and Volumetric Flow Rate (Type S Pitot Tube and Standard Pitot Tube)

This method is applicable for the determination of the average velocity and the volumetric flow rate of a gas stream in both large and small diameter stacks and ducts.

Method 2A

Direct Measurement of Gas Volume Through Pipes and Small Duct

This method is applicable for the determination of gas flow rates in pipes and small ducts, either in-line or at exhaust positions.

Method 2B

Measurement of Gas Volume Flow Rates from Gasoline Vapor Incinerators

This method is applicable for the determination of the volumetric flow rates from incinerators that process gasoline vapors consisting primarily of alkanes, alkenes, and/or arenes (aromatic hydrocarbons).

Method 2D

Measurement of Gas Volume Flow Rates in Small Pipes and Ducts using a Rotameter, Annubar, or an Orifice Plate

This method is applicable for the determination of the volumetric flow rates of gas streams in small pipes and ducts. It can be applied to the intermittent or variable gas flows only with particular caution.
